Position Summary:

  • This role will primarily be responsible for developing/ maintaining data marts, ETL, and reporting solutions in a data warehouse environment.
  • Key activities include design, development, testing, code promotion, version management, quality control, documentation and data analysis.
  • The role will work with business customers to understand reporting and other needs and with delivery team members to maintain, enhance and ensure integrity of data content and relationships within the warehouse.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • 1. Architecture tasks including data models, reverse engineering, and performance optimization
  • 2. Design, develop, unit test and maintain ETL jobs to create or enhance data warehouses/marts
  • 3. Design ETL via source-to-target mapping and design documents that consider security, performance tuning and other best practices
  • 4. Test ETL and other technical components and support QA activities
  • 5. Deploy and test code from lower environments to production
  • 6. Document technical specifications, data models, process flows, etc.
  • 7. Identify improvement areas and propose solutions for the same
  • 8. Understand the current application with minimal guidance
  • 9. Good in documenting technical processes by understanding existing application
  • 10. Collaborate with delivery and technical team members on design and development activities within Agile/Scrum teams
  • 11. Collaborate with business partners to understand business processes, standard release management requirements, and underlying data and reporting needs
  • 12. Collaborate with IT/enterprise partners to understand processes and standard release management requirements
  • 13. Conduct data analysis in support of ETL development, issue analysis and resolution, and activities
  • 14. Proactive thinker and drive innovation

  • 16. Lead a small team of developers

Required Qualifications:

  • 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2. Overall 6+ years of experience in any ETL tool
  • 3. 4+ years of experience with Informatica power center
  • 4. 4+ years with data warehouses/marts supporting business requirements, BI report development, and report analysis
  • 5. 4+ years of intermediate to advanced SQL experience
  • 6. 4+ years of intermediate to advanced Unix experience
  • 7. Experience developing within an agile (i.e. Scrum or Kanban) framework
  • 8. Strong soft skills (e.g. communication, interpersonal, collaborative, resilient)
  • 9. Experience working in a matrixed environment on a fast-paced project
  • 10. Business-side experience with IT partners, or IT-side experience with Business partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1. Healthcare domain knowledge, particularly with clinical data structures and Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payer data
  • 2. 3+ Years of experience in any other ETL tool (Optional)
  • 3. Knowledge in SNP plans/ business
  • 4. Data modeling experience with ERWin
  • 5. Coordinating with offshore team
