The Assistant Internet Merchant is responsible for supporting the execution of merchandising strategies and tactics to grow their categories of business on a consistent, profitable basis.  This position requires skill in cross-functional communication and relationship building, as well as excellence in operational execution.


  • Manage category assortment line lists for retail and online specific product
  • Maintain and submit daily pricing changes for categories of business and validate execution prior to launching on the website
  • Own the accuracy of products on the website including item number, description, color, copy, imagery and ticket.
  • Assist in the management of pre-launch plans and set-up for product category including, but not limited to site roadmaps, creative requests, pricing files (new “floor-sets” every 3-4 weeks along with multiple intra-theme changes).
  • Observe Stores assortment strategy/line prep and download milestones to understand seasonal business strategies and specific product initiatives.
  • Partner with Merchandise Planning team on the financial management of the business including seasonal plans, item level buys, inventory replenishment and pricing/promotion optimizations
  • Active curiosity to move processes and workflows forward – drive efficiencies and speed to eliminate redundancies and enhance agility
  • Understand the competition by conducting patterning activities that requires the shopping of benchmark competitors to identify opportunities and challenges for in-season business and future strategies (physical and virtual shops)
  • Responsible for site validation with cross-functional teams.


  • 1-2 years of business experience; eCommerce experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization
  • Flexible to work during off-business hours
  • Systems and computer proficiency (MS Office-Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
