Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Provide inputs to project teams
  • Weekly review with project team - seeking /providing direction
  • Review with inventory planning team (as needed)
  • Updating plan/ status from site level
  • Sharing constraints/ floor level implication on labor, RM, Planning volumes etc
  • Aligning local team (mfg, planning and buying) to the overall strategy, Status , impact , priortization
  • Tracking execution and implication to buying, planning and mfg
  • Supporting out of system activities - like buying planning etc
  • Maintain/ escalating risk - inventory /service etc
  • Voice of site in Project Meeting, SIOP, site splits to provide site very clear 3-6 months plan
  • Work in tandem with Project team to track ramp up at other site including GTIN readiness, m/c, supplier qualification etc, to clearly understand what support may be needed from Irvine site.
  • For such exception scenario, strategize and lead mechanism of parallel working both for top level/RM as needed. This is extremely time consuming and requires almost daily hand holding.

Work categorization:

  1. Pre Go live (Project Mgmt / Planning) a. Alignment with site RM buyer - long term, short term, flexibilities as needed, supplier capacity, other side supplier qualification b. Lead adaption to deviation from projection plan at the site ; baby sitting c. Tracking project readiness execution - GTIN creation, ramp up, ramp down, regulatory approval, supplier qualification, inventory impact , inventory transfer d. Managing inventory offline (outside system signal) e. Align site teams with all transfer project with material purchase, supply chain support ,capacity of Quality and Engineering support f. Be a single point of contact to represent Irvine site in project meetings , joint meeting (with other site), internal site meeting

  2. For Go- Live/ parallel processing/ Ramp down

  • Coordinate and lead SIOP style meetings to ensure RM sub assembly for both sides are the right amount, no excess and no linedown. 
  • In projects where subs are first to be qualified and then FG, or in projects where Subs assembly is made in the offloading site and then send to onloading site to be assembled.
  • Track outputs on daily weekly basis to adapt Irvine site production output d. Provide visibility to Irvine site on medium term progress 
  • Work in tandem with purchase planner, to ramp down , transfer inventory or support other site with RM as needed.
  • This requires lot of baby sitting, as SAP signal may be wrong f. Monitor, track, report mitigate impact of such transition on inventory and service level g.
  • Manage / represent Irvine in Supplier level discussion on total requirement (across both plants), short term surge due to parallel processing etc h.
  • Coach / guide ramp up site on Irvine processes (as may be needed) i. Work with GSC on GTIN split up and migration

Experienced Required and skills:

  • University Degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. CPIM or PMP highly desired.
  • Manufacturing transfer experience preferred .
