Description:

  • As a Project Manager -Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas.
  • Typically, employees in this function are working towards or have achieved certification in project management.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques.
  • Makes presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results. Ensures projects are completed on time and in scope.
  • May manage vendor and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations. Incumbents maybe part of a project management office (PMO) in their business.
  • Project Management roles specific to a particular functional area should be assigned to that family where appropriate (e.g. IT Project Managers should be placed in the IT Family).
  • As an Agilist - this role will be similar to a scrum master and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of strategic technology products.
  • Applicants should have a strong understanding of and hands-on experience with Agile Methods, especially Scrum.
  • In addition to acting in the role of Scrum Master, the position requires close collaboration with enterprise Agile Coaches to ensure compliance with the Scrum implementation approach adopted.
  • Applicants will also be responsible for the coaching of their teams on scrum practices to ensure benefit from and adherence to core agile principles is achieved.

Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • This role will serve to facilitate the tracking and reporting of our agile metrics, facilitate cross-team and cross-train dependencies, lead multiple small projects that are related to the implementaion or integration of new products or new acquisitions into the one eco system

Ideal Background:

  • The ideal candidate has both traditional project management and agile (scrum master) experience they must have knowledge of agile practices, even if they have not been a scrum master

Team and Team size:

  • Highly variable. this person will be a part of multiple teams; most project teams will consist of 4 to 5 people

Skills/attributes:

  • 4+ years of project management experience
  • 2+ years in an agile environment as a scrum master or scrum team member

Nice to have:

  • ScrumMaster, CSPO or other Scrum certifications.
  • Background in Kanban and other Agile processes
  • Experience working with more than one team
  • Previous software product development experience
  • Previous experience as a team lead
  • Working knowledge of Rally

Interview Process:

  • a. How many rounds? No more than 2 – a screening round and then a final round (if necessary). depends on number of qualitifed candidates.
  • b. Video vs. phone? Video preferred
  • c. How technical will the interviews be? Will be focused on knowledge of agile and project management practices
