Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • A large government healthcare technology system implementation with a 2020 deadline.
  • The healthcare technology product will bring together providers, care advocates, and plan managers to deliver for members

Ideal Background:

  • Healthcare experience, large program leadership, experienced release manager or deployment manager with experience working with 20+ teams on a large enterprise project.
  • Responsible for the release management checklists, making sure that all of the right development and quality documentation are in place.
  • Managing the risks and issues of each deployment date and obtaining commitment from the application scrum teams.
  • Facilitating the cross application deployment calls

Team and Team size:

  • Leading and managing the release management documentation, change control process for 20+ team leads/scrum masters

Top Responsibilities:

  • Establish/implement/comply with change management processes to drive effective project execution (e.g., launch, deployment, revisions, change control).
  • Collaborate across business and technology work streams on agile roadmap and delivery planning.
  • Accountable for release management plans, operational readiness, and setup of support framework.
  • Establish/implement/comply with change management processes to drive effective project execution (e.g., launch, deployment, revisions, change control).
  • Obtain agreement from applicable stakeholders on schedule, time management and resource plans, and negotiate changes/adjust implementation plans as needed.
  • Risk and issue management.
  • Monitor and report progress throughout the project life cycle, using appropriate implementation planning and scheduling tools (e.g.,dashboards, metrics)..

Software tools/skills:

  • MS office suite (Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Rally (Agile workflow tool).

Skills/attributes:

  • Setting up release management governance for a new product implementation (5+ years experience)
  • Skilled in managing risks and issues (5+ years experience)
  • Scaled Agile (SAFE) experience 2+ years
  • Waterfall experience 5+ years

Nice to have:

  • Industry Certification(s): Agile / Scrum, SAFe, Lean Methodology, and/or Project Management
  • Health care industry experience strongly desired
  • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) implementation and delivery
  • Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally)
  • Ability to lead and influence large matrix teams both on and off-shore
  • Experience with supervisory responsibilities preferred
  • Experience in successfully managing multiple programs/projects simultaneously.

Interview Process:

  • b. Video vs. phone? Video preferred
  • c. How technical will the interviews be? Technical in terms of deployment and release management as well as cross team program management.
