Role and responsibilities:

  • Provide insight to the Experience Architect to think through all use cases of the component, wireframing and documentation
  • Guiding the visual designer to explore elegant, modern and on-brand solutions for the visual layer of the components
  • Take ownership in reaching out to other teams Enterprise wide to ensure that the components we are building will meet their needs as well
    • Make sure that the other verticals under Dotcom (Wealth and Business) can use the Global components we are creating
    • Make sure that the design system team can use the visual pattern to be used on other platforms
    • Assist in getting the Shield team the right specifications and making decisions on the variables each component should have, in order to meet the needs of other teams as a global visual pattern, beyond just an AEM component
  • Own responsibilities for the components being coded to spec by
    • Ensuring that all component work is documented appropriately for hand off
    • To oversee component validation and having final approval after Visual designer, the XA and the authors sign off on it


Helping the UX team stay focused on the agreed upon acceptance criteria when creating their design solutions
Partnering with Journey Owner to ensure that sprint objectives, story points, team capacity and acceptance criteria are aligned to dotcom goals, capabilities and agreements

Lead the team in creating new pages for .com

  • Lead the team in creating new pages that match the new  Design System, or rebranding existing pages
    • Includes collaborating with the Content Strategists that report into the marketing team
    • Aligning with the Shield team and other Dotcom teams to ensure that the proper components, templates and strategies are being executed on these pages


Potential to Lead other Special Projects team as well

  • Help guide Sr. Designer create on brand page designs that meet the acceptance criteria
  • Guide designer to using appropriate AEM components and aligning to Dotcom templates and strategies
