Description:

  • This position is for a Full Stack Technical Lead for the Atlas Application.
  • He/She will oversee a team of developers

Projects the candidate will be working on:

  • The project is called Atlas, which is used for Quality Related Events.
  • Atlas runs in our Home Delivery and Specialty pharmacies.
  • It tracks pharmacy events such as mis-fills or other operational errors which must be reported to the Pharmacy Board for compliance purposes.
  • The applications run our approved Open Source technology stack.
  • This project will be executed using our Scrum framework.

Ideal Background:

  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned full stack developer, who has hands on experience in all areas of application development and is willing to actively participate as a developer on the team.
  • At the same time, we need the person to lead a team of less experienced developers and give them guidance as necessary.
  • They also ideally have some experience in dealing with bigger companies, where we often have less flexibility due to our architecture standards and security rules.
  • Healthcare/pharmacy experience is nice to have, but not completely mandatory.

Experience:

  • The candidate that will set them apart from others is experience with Database application design (most pure developers will not have a lot of depth here), and also DevOps since that is a newer area and not everyone has this experience.

Top Requirements:

  • J2EE 1.8
  • MySQL/SQL (Oracle is fine too, just solid relational database experience)
  • JavaScript (React).

Top Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for code delivery of Atlas releases
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the onshore development team and work closely with the offshore technical lead on implementation
  • Mentor junior / less experienced developers in the full stack skill set
  • Participate in scrum meetings and relay business and technical decisions to the development team
  • Work closely with the product owner and business SMEs on design of product.

Technical skillset requirements include:

  • J2EE, web services, Spring Boot/Cloud, jQuery, React JS, HTML, CSS and Unix

Required functional skillset and experience include:

  • Excellent communication skills, proven experience working in an Agile environment, experience working with remote and offshore team members, production support, and documentation in an Agile tool.
  • Pharmacy or Healthcare experience is a plus.
