Hey There Soon-to-be Grads and Recent Grads,

This is our final post in our series dedicated to you. Today we want to discuss two of the exciting career opportunities found in the world of staffing: Recruiting and Account Management. If you love working with people, have a knack for networking, and enjoy fast-paced, no-2-days-are-the-same type jobs, then this may be just the industry for you.

Horizontal Integration has a talented team working behind the scenes to make our business run smoothly and successfully: from our finance and human resources professionals to our staffing operations and marketing teams, each role is crucial in providing our clients and consultants with the best service and overall experience. Although each behind-the-scene role is integral to our business, the “faces” of our staffing agency are made up of our Account/Business Development Managers and our Recruiters.

According to Staffing Industry Analysts the temporary staffing market combined with the place and search market is projected to grow 3% in 2019 reaching $152 billion in revenue. Now is the perfect time to consider joining this high-growth industry.

Our Business Development Managers have the opportunity to work with Fortune 500 clients on a daily basis. Each day they are making new connections, networking, and using their talent to cultivate existing relationships and build new business partnerships. From calling on new business, to working with existing clients to determine their hiring needs, and from delivering engaging presentations to negotiating contracts, no two days are the same. As an Account Manager you have the ability to help our clients with their business or hiring strategy and have a direct impact on their team growth and success.

Our Account/Business Development Managers are supported by an experienced team of recruiters with whom they work hand in hand with to meet the growing demands of our clients. As a Recruiter with Horizontal Integration you are awarded the opportunity to help people find their dream job, plan their next career move, and or help them move forward in their consulting career. From attending networking groups or scouring the job boards for new talent and conducting interviews over a cup of coffee to helping our candidates prepare for their upcoming interview, each day is new and each day is met with exciting challenges. As a Recruiter you become an integral resource in a candidate’s job search and when you find that perfect match for both your candidate and client, the feeling is incredible.

In all fairness to develop and foster your business as an Account Manager or to establish and grow your network as a Recruiter takes long hours, perseverance, and hard work. However, the personal and financial rewards are endless.  Each day comes with new surprises, challenges and rewards. Your days will be full of meeting people, coaching hiring managers and candidates alike, discovering what types of candidates are best suited for a client, and/or unearthing the perfect job for your candidate.

To be successful in this industry you need to the confidence to meet and connect with professionals from all different industries and backgrounds, you need to be tech and social media savvy while being change-ready, you need to work hard and be organized, but most importantly, you need to love working with people.

We, here at HI, are always in search of talented hard-working professionals to join our team. Whether you are straight out of school, seeking an exciting and rewarding career path or you are a seasoned professional looking for a new challenge, we’d love to talk with you.
